Hebrides Fish ’n’ Trips - Sea Angling and Sea Life Cruises
Hebrides Fish ’n’ Trips offers private boat charters for 1 to 5 people, operating along the rugged East Coast of the Isle of Lewis. Departing from either Keose harbour in Loch Erisort or the pier in Marvig, South Lochs you can enjoy 3 or 4 hour trips exploring the many sea lochs which indent the coastline with breathtaking scenery, tranquil lagoons and abundant wildlife.
When you charter Hebrides Fish ‘n’ Trips, it will be on a private charter basis which means that the boat and its skipper are for your exclusive use with no other guests aboard. The benefits of private charter are that there is no set itinerary so you can tailor your trip to what you want to do and can relax in the company of your own friends or family.
White Tailed Sea Eagles and Golden Eagles have made this area of Lewis their home and can be regularly viewed from the boat as they patrol high above the cliffs. Basking sharks, porpoise, dolphins, seals, otters, puffins, gannets and skuas, to name but a few, are regularly encountered. We can’t guarantee you will see everything but you will certainly come ashore having seen or experienced something that will make a lasting memory.
Sustainable fish species such as Pollock and Mackerel are plentiful in summer months and excellent sea angling can be enjoyed if you wish. The boat has been specially equipped for trolled line fishing which is one of the most exhilarating fishing methods with light tackle and hard fighting Pollock to 5kgs are often caught. Angling trips are offered with a ‘No Fish No Fee’ guarantee where if no fish are caught on your trip, the full charter fee will be refunded to you.
Try your luck lifting lobster pots, visit mussel and salmon farms, picnic on a deserted island, catch your dinner, enjoy a swim in a tidal lagoon. You decide what you want to do….
